Since Texas often quite warm in April, May, September, and even October, you can usually still take advantage of the lazy river, slide, and more while not melting your socks off if you ride horses or take advantage of the non-water outdoor activities. The food was not great, and very expensive. Other than that, the resort is awesome. The wait staff with the exception of the golf staff was slow and not engaging.

The accomodations, amenities, staff, and location were all outstanding. We enjoyed Stories, but found the food at the other restaurants to be just average. The staff was great. The location was great.

We got breakfast another morning from McDade's the cafe in the property which had a really nice selection of pastries, coffee, local honey and other Texas gift items. We made some new friends at the resort : T-Bone and Ribeye the Texas Longhorns, Apache Dancer and Little feather the miniature horses and the cutest but little dirty because of all the rain alpacas Yogi and Boo Boo. Watch out for the brown alpacas he spit every once in a while. And you thought Texas was brown and boring. But don't wait - make plans for a Spring weekend trip while the Texas Bluebonnets and other wild flowers paint a pretty picture..
